Kdrama Review: Bad Guys

This is a thriller, I ‘accidentally’ started watching, while also watching ‘Angry Mom’. And I unexpectedly loved it. I finished this before ‘Angry Mom’!

The feeling to it is similar to that of ‘White Christmas’ (a psychological thriller I watched a year ago but have just been to lazy to review.. It’s coming!). It’s very… grey and un-flattering with a very interesting story development!

It starts as one kind of thriller but eveolves too something more. I wish it had been about five episodes longer, though, eleven were too short!

Score: 9/10
The acting of the female cast-member was… barely acceptable – that girl has one facial expression – but that is the only bad thing I got to say. I loved the concept so much I wish there would have been a second season. The character developments are also very intriguing and the turn and twists.

Kdrama Review: Birth of a Beauty

This drama is hilarious both in a positive way but also in kind of a negative way. About five thousand times I wanted to yell ‘They can see you! Everyone can see you!‘. So many ridiculous and unrealistic scenes… but hey, I watched all 20 episodes. Because the story is actually really good. Just poorly executed.

My Score: 5.5/10
I would have wanted to give this a higher score but I realized as picky as I am with kdramas, none will ever get a low score. A 1 from me is probably a 5 overall.
Anyways. Very entertaining but not a must-see!

I don’t easily get into dramas (doesn’t matter if it’s Korean or not to be honest) so I always have some “good” reason, that isn’t the actual story, for starting to watch it. As for this drama, it was a strange one.

There is a member in Romeo, I think is really cute, someone made a comment that he looked like a character in this drama. So I thought, I should check it out. And I was hooked!

The two main male characters are ‘I-could-cry-because-how-can-a-person-be-that-fine’ good looking! And I really like Eunji from A-Pink now (she plays the main role)!

The story is very cheerful yet beautiful. Sad and beautiful. Well, as much as is possible for a mainstream High School Kdrama. It has interesting personal side-stories that are wrapped in well and I could probably watch it again!

My Score: 7/10
Honestly, 2 of the points are only because of Lee Wonkeun and Jisu! But the story is very good!

kdrama, review, yoon siyoon¨

It’s been three years since I watched this drama but it was the very first I started watching (not the first I finished though). So it has a very special place in my heart.

The male lead, played by Yoon Siyoon, is not only the kind of character you just have to love and root for but also so good looking. In all honestly I wouldn’t have watched it hadn’t it been for him. The drama is not exactly uniq or different from every other boy-love-girl type. I think I just love it because of my relationship to it.

My Score: 7/10
I can recommend it, if you like the cast.. B2ST’s Gikwang is in it! *wink*

Kdrama Review: God’s Gift – 14 days

This is the first, and only, kdrama I’ve watched that doesn’t have that “cheesy soap opera” feel to it (and I absolutely don’t mean I don’t like that cheesy feel but this suits me better). It’s very dramatic and dark, no romance.

The acting by Lee Bo-Young (who played the lead Soohyun) is incredible. Her acting feels very real which is important since she plays a mother who loses her child (this is in the begining of the series so no spolier here!).

This drama will make you hold your breathe! Until the last second!

And how I cried!

My Score: 9/10
Yes. I loved this drama.

Kdrama Review: Triangle

This drama is fantastic! I thought God’s Gift was hard to beat (I’ll make a review on that drama later on) and well, acting-wise Triangle is far from as good a God’s Gift (not that it’s bad) but that’s also the only bad thing I have to say. I love the characters (well, hate them too), the script, the constant trying-to-figure-out-what-will-happen-next, the surprises, the beautiful boys (Kim Jaejoong and Im Siwan that is). I orignally decided to watch it after I got into ZE:A again and wanted to watch something with Siwan. And I’m glad I found this!

I got hooked at once and when I wasn’t watching, I was just waiting to when I could next watch another episode (note; this is very rare to me when it comes to series).

However. SPOILER ALERT! It ended exactly as I had predicted which is not a good thing. I was hoping I would be wrong. This brings down the score from a full 10 to an 8.

My score: 8/10
Perfect amount of nail-biting and complicated life- and love-relationships. But the ending didn’t do it for me. I still highly recommend anyone to watch it! (I cried a few times).

Kdrama Review: Sweden Laundry

I’ve started watching “so many” Korean dramas, I thought I should actually review them here on my blog. I know this is a kpop blog and I only intended it to be, so this is a side track. However! Every drama I’ve seen so far have had kpop-stars in the cast (maybe they usually do?) so I think it’s totally legit.

To the point; I finished watching “Sweden Laundry” and firstly, I sure wish there will be a second season (wishful thinking).

First episode was a bit boring to me and I wasn’t sure I would continue but I did (only thanks to Changjo) and I’m glad I did so! The plot is different from what one would expect, which was a really good think, in my opinion. Spolier alert – it’s not romantic (and I like that) but more involving around Bom’s family and visions.
The girl, playing the main charachter, is Song Hayoon and I like her a lot! Apart from  Soochul (played by Changjo), Bom was my favorite!

My score: 6/10
Why not more? Because it ended quite messy/rapidly and did not satisfy me! I expected more. Also I thought they could have done more with the concept (because it sure is awesome)
